Born in 1877, M.U.M Salie the Pioneer who started his business in the coastal town of Galle on the Southern Tip of the Island, which was the gateway for the Far Eastern & European travellers who would call on the Galle Harbour as a stop over during their travels. It was here that he established himself and became a person of Repute and held many high positions during the colonial times.
M. Mahuroof married the only daughter of M.U.M. Salie and entered the business as a young man. He was instrumental in establishing branches in Aden & Singapore and travelled extensively in search of new markets.
Born in 1922 followed in his fathers footsteps and was a pioneer in the Gem & Jewellery industry having gained vast knowledge in Gemstones which was highly recognized in the industry.
Born in 1945 married to Fawzia the daughter of Siddique Mahuroof joined the business in 1977.
Born in 1977 joined in the footsteps of his fore fathers in 1996. He has travelled abroad extensively to establish business relationships with the customers and participated in many International Gem & Jewellery Trade Fairs in the West, Far East and Asia.
Married to Fawaaz, hails from a family of reputed jewellers going back four generations.
